Cayla Jones is a Chicago-based actor. She has had the opportunity to pursue Theater Education at Chicago Children’s Theater as an Education Associate & Teaching Artist. She is also a company member at Avalanche Theatre in Chicago. Previous credits: Black Ensemble Theater, Babes with Blades, The Studio Theater-The Villages, FL.

Jack is excited to make his Ego Death debut! Most recently, Jack played Mr. Peel in The Minutes at Edge of the Wood Theatre. Regionally, he has worked with Milwaukee Rep, Illinois Shakespeare Festival and Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. Much love to Savannah, his family and to those supporting live theatre.

Alex Hultman (they/them) is thrilled to be working with Ego Death Theatre Collective! Their recent credits include Fairy Princess Alex at the Macy’s Walnut Room Restaurant, Quinn Pierce in True Dice Podcast, and the Weeping Woman at the Haunted Soirée Chicago. Alex holds a BA in Acting from Illinois State University. @alexhultgurl

Angie is a Chicago based actor and a graduate of the School of Theatre and Dance at Illinois State University. She is excited to take part in Ego Death Theatre Collective’s inaugural season, and to work with some fellow ISU alumni.

Playwright - Kate McMorran

Kate McMorran is pursuing her MFA in Writing for Screen and Stage at Northwestern. Her short plays have been produced in NYC and her work has been published by Smith & Kraus. Kate writes toxic rom-coms about women searching for pleasure. She also loves to obsessively stare at her house plants

Director - Jianna Lubotsky

Jianna Lubotsky (she/her) is so excited to be directing this thought-provoking new play with Ego Death Theatre Collective. Most recently she has directed productions of Matilda, The Grimm Brother’s Spectaculathon, Us/Them, and Violet. Jianna was a member of the Kennedy Center’s SDC Fellowship Directing Cohort and is a graduate from Illinois State University.

Co-Artistic Director - Carol Kelleher

Co-Artistic Director - Benjamin Kelly

Carol is an actor who has appeared in the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and in films/commercials during her stint in LA. Opening a theatre company has been her lifelong dream. Love to her family, collaborators, and cats.

Benjamin is an actor and writer trained at Illinois State University. He is incredibly excited to be embarking on this endeavor with the wildly talented artists assembled here.

Co-Marketing Advisor - Aliza Broder

Co-Marketing Advisor - Matt Tenny

Aliza is an actor, writer, and recent Chicago transplant who is thrilled to be a part of Ego Death Theatre Collective. All love to Mom, Dad, and Hannah.

Matt Tenny graduated from Illlinois State University with a B.S. in acting and is excited to step out into the Chicago theatre, film, and television scene.

Chief Financial Officer. - Tom Cook

New Play Development - Alex Kulak

Tom Cook is honored to work with Ego Death Theatre Collective. Most recently, he worked as Co-President of Seventh Grade Sketch Comedy based in Virginia All for Misty.

Alex Kulak is a playwright, composer, and director, thrilled to be stepping into the administrative side of things with Ego Death Theatre Collective. Love to his friends, family, and collaborators.

Coming Soon to Ego Death

The Depths (March 1st, 2nd @7:30pm, 3rd @4pm)

A staged reading of "The Depths," a new play by Chicago-area playwright Clayton Smith. This world premier is a biting exploration of the relationship between a young couple who fight for their relationship and their lives after they are trapped in a cave.

Personal Library (April 19th, 20th @7:30pm, 21st @4pm)

A workshop production of "Personal Library," a new play by Chicago-area playwright Emma S. Rund. This world premier follows a woman who finds solace from the world and her past in the pages of books from her childhood.

Sunny Days (June 7th, 8th @7:30pm, 9th@4pm)

A workshop production of "Sunny Days," a new play by Chicago-area playwright Reina Hardy. This world premier utilizes both people and puppets to explore political themes in three parts: past, present, and apocalyptic future.
